Stuck pill

So if I had to take a very large antibiotic pill today and it is big, if it got stuck, how long will it take to dissolve itself and get unstuck? And the pain to go away?

I would call your doc and ask him.

Perhaps warm tap water will help melt the pill and also help relax your esophagus so the pill will pass. Try to relax.

For the first few months post op I had to crush or cut the pills that I could in half, I had a really hard time but it passes after a while. See if you can cut it in half.....

Everyone is different but I had a horrible experience with pills... After my surgery I had to take pills daily... Shortly after surgery with in the first week I could not eat or drink anything without barfing up foam for three days. My doc ordered an endoscopy to find a pill that was not dissolved and blocking thjngs from going down. I had to switch all my medications to liquid form.
