Hello- I was just banded on March 5.

I notice that of the 4 incisions that the one where the port is happens to be very red and a little puffy. Has anyone else experionced this? am I being paranoid?

Sometimes incisions can be red and puffy and be normal.

It is probably healing.

Make sure it doesn't open up and that there is no pus coming out of it.

If there is or if it is hot to the touch and looks infectected, see your Dr.

(I am also an RN and used to check insicions. Hope this helps)

Mine was very red and swollen , this does go down in time. Watch out for leakage , if you develope a temperature this could be a sign of infection, i work on a surgical ward in the uk and all your symptons are that of any surgical incisions just keep a watch on them . Welcome to the world of lapband , and good luck.:girl_hug:

Thanks you both so much. I felt a little better after reading your replies and sure enough, the redness and swelling went down considerably by the next day
