  1. If you are worried about slippage, call your Dr and see if they need to see you. I threw up the whole night of my surgery and couldn't get ahold of my dr for a few hours. I worried. But he said I was fine. It was anesthesia nausea. If you aren't in terrible pain you may be fine. Good luck!
  2. Hi. Thanks for the note. I too have committed to exercising. I have to admit, I am stuck and not losing much the last 3 months, I just started exercising this past week and am determined for my band to keep working! Hope you are all doing well! Jenn
  3. One of my favorites when I was in a hurry, was Wendy's chili, only I had to run home and blend it .. I used a baby grinder for soups, stews , during the mushy phase and it worked well for me, Of course I only got the 99 cent chili. I also made some high protein stew recipes given to me during one of my support groups and i would freeze leftovers, then thaw and blend. Good Luck!
  4. Thanks for those of you who responded to my question. I think differernt Dr's do different kind of fills as well. I have the larger band. And only 1cc at a time monthly, while others got 6cc for their first fill. The weight loss could or may not be the same. Thanks Jennifer
  5. Hi. I am new to this site and joined for some motivation. I saw a lot of new posts yesterday, but all from new band patients. I need some motivation from those a year + postop. I would like to be losing more. I am happy with my weight loss, just dissapointed it isn't more yet. I just moved to a new area and in the process of picking between 2 req centers. I have not been good at exercising. Thanks!
  6. I am a member of this site since yesterday 3/7/07. I would like to join the boot camp as well, even though there are only 2 weeks left. I have not been exercising and I have been snacking at night. I made an appointment for a fill today. I am going to the gym with my cousin to work out at 245 today. Thank you for the motivation. I have read a lot of posts over the last day and had thought i was doing well with my weight loss, but it has been slow. I see others who had surgery a whole year after me who have lost as much or more!! I know I can lose more and I know I can do it. Please tell me how much water a day you are drinking? Thanks! Jennifer Van Guard band Dec 2005 Small Monthly fills, now at 11.5ml 357/277/ goal 180 -80:clap2:

  8. Mary, I would do a search on www.ihc.com under providers to find an endocrinologist per your preference. Good luck!
  9. Sometimes incisions can be red and puffy and be normal. It is probably healing. Make sure it doesn't open up and that there is no pus coming out of it. If there is or if it is hot to the touch and looks infectected, see your Dr. (I am also an RN and used to check insicions. Hope this helps) Jennifer
