?? Is post-op diarrhea normal?

:help: I am 5 days post op and have been having explosive diarrhea since day 2. I have been following the clear liquid diet as instructed. Is this common and will it stop once i get to creamy liquids in week 2?

I hear you. Boy, do I hear you. :)

I think it has to be normal. After all, you're not really putting anything with any substance into your body, how can we expect something of substance to come out?

"Liquids in, liquids out" is what I've been told. My mother is also a former RN and she says it's normal too.

Make sure to drink enough Water. If you still have concerns, of course contact your dr.

..and am having same issues-I have read on here before, that its pretty common...liquid in, liquid out....:)

Hang in there!!!

my nutritionalist said that if you drink juice without watering it down, you could get the D word. so i made sure i always did. in fact, i didn't even have any sort of BM for about 3 days. TMI, yeah. LOL! :)

Yeah, that's what I was told. And I haven't had ANY juice :) But like a friend pointed out: Liquid in/Liquid out
