I'm 9 days post op and I've already lost 18 lbs. Is this too quick? I weighed 235 and now weigh 217.

You are fine, enjoy the loss, it will slow down on its own...

Totally normal. I lost about the same and my starting weight was quite similar. 4 months out I am loosing about 2 lbs per week.

Yes, you lose fast at first. After 2 - 4 weeks, you may hit a stall for up to a week. After about the first month or six weeks you will lose about 2 - 2 1/2 pounds per week. All totally normal.

You should make sure that you are getting whatever Protein intake your NUT recommended. For many people it's around 80 grams per day. Also make sure that you drink plenty of Water, and focus on getting in a good bit of exercise.

Congrats!!! My starting weight will be around the same so this is very encouraging!! How was your recovery? What is your diet like now?
