A lot of folks use protein shakes, I eat a lot of high protein foods. Proti diet makes a hot cocoa that is sooo good and has 15g protein in one serving. My doc says between 60-80g protein a day.

At your stage Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, ricotta, soft boiled or poached eggs are all a good way to get in protein. Also check out gamergirl's recipes here, lots of pureed protein options. You will still need at least one protein shake a day, though.

I'm a little over 3 months post-op and while I'm able to eat lean protein (fish, meat, poultry, some pork) and dairy, I'm still not able to eat enough to not need a shake for breakfast (which works just fine by me, since I was never much of a breakfast person anyway). I really like the Unjury Chocolate Splendor and their Chicken Soup. Going to try their protein'd cheese sauce, too.
