Insomnia Post-op?

So I'm a month and 2 days post-op and every since I took my self off the pain meds a )few days after surgery), I haven't been able to sleep through the night! It's frustrating because I like to get up early before work to exercise but obviously I'm to exhausted now I have to work out in the evening. Is anyone else having this problem? Dear sleep why do you hate me?!?

I had a few weeks of this, myself. I asked my doctor about it and she said it's VERY normal and that I would go back to normal after a month or so. She was right! I did take Tylenol PM (with her permission) on the days I was VERY exhausted and couldn't sleep to help myself out. The sleepless nights were gone by month two or so.

You will get there!!

Well that's refreshing to hear. It's been a month so hopefully by this time next month I'll be getting my sleep on! :-)

Thanks for the response.

I had a month and a half or so of this. Drove me nuts! lol, but I eventually readjusted.

Whenever I can't sleep, I take 5mg of melatonin. I get it on the vitamin aisle at Wal-Mart. It puts me right out.
