I had pain between my boobs at the top of my stomach Friday night. It almost feels like someone is pulling me apart and burns a little bit. It went away in about 30 minutes. It just started doing it again today. I am calling the doctor tomorrow, but has anyone ever had similar issues. I'm afraid of an ulcer and not sure what one would feel like. Has anyone had an ulcer post-op and if so what symptoms did you have.

Maybe your gallbladder?

For me, pain in that same general area corresponds to acid reflux. I use prilosec, and find it helps me a lot.

I actually don't know if this surgery increases or decreases the risk of ulcers. I was kind of surprised that my stomach didn't have any after they pulled it out.
