New site is up!

Hello everyone,

I finally got my new site up, and I'd appreciate everyone's input! There is an "Ask the Doctor / Dietitian / Insurance Coordinator" section, forums (under "About our practice" don't ask me why).

Check it out, if you see any errors or have any good ideas just contact me through the site! It's www.TheBandDoctor.com

Hello Dr. C. Could you talk about the pre-surgical diet or what some refer to as "detox diet"? Thanks.

Hi Dr. C

Your site looks great! I am in the Cincinnati area and my daughter and I just returned from TJ, Mexico, Dr. Kuri performed our Lapbands. Would my daughter and I be able to do follow up care with you?

Also on our flight home I got really sick, nothing came up but I had three episode where I was dry heaving (sp?) and a very hard painful burp...I am hoping I did not hurt my stiches around the band, and I'm not sure what I did to cause this. Also, my pain is far below my port on the left side more in my pelvic/ovary area kinda of a burning pain is this normal? Thank you ~Jina

Dr. C it looks great!! If you were in Calif. i would ask you for a job! :)

Do you know Dr Cirangle or Jossart here in SFO?

Congratulations on your site!

We put folks on a Medifast diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery. This functions to reduce visceral fat (fat inside the abdomen) and reduce the size of the liver to make laparscopic surgery easier.

Using this regimen I have never had to convert a lap band patient to open, so I think it works!

Wow- what a great site! I really would like to help my surgeon develop his baratric program as I think he is good, but he is just really new at doing them, only about 2 years or so. He is a general surgeon also. His program needs help, but I dont know how to go about approaching it with him.

Dr. C,

I looked at your site as soon as I left your office and it looks great. Oh, and my fill is doing fine so far, thank you so much for being my doctor, I really appreciate you, and what you do and everyone in your office. Thanks again, without you this wouldn't be possible for me.

Dr. C:

The link from the band dr estore back home has some broken text for images. None of them are showing up. Tried to find the error in the code, but without knowing the file names... I can't help. Any little typo will do it.

Dr. C, you are so sweet help us out here at LBT. Thanks for all the input, the site looks great. So all in all a kind sweet doctor, cute too. ~Mandy

You're site looks good - very informative and welcoming. You are wonderful to offer your advice/suggestions to everyone at LBT - I would definitely come to you should I relocate closer to your office!

I find myself having a question - if you see this and have any suggestions I am open to them...

My weight loss is minimal and I've tried calorie levels of between 600-1500 and I just can't seem to lose weight. I DO follow the bandster rules and eat about 1/2 of what I formerly did. I had my thyroid tested and it was right in the middle - reported normal.

I've resigned myself to staying the same but wonder if there is something else I should try. My latest unfill has allowed me to eat more solids and three squares a day - less pbing but my weight still doesn't budge.

I was prescribed raductil but have taken it infrequently although when I do take it - I have very little appetite. I am 48 and on BCP. Thanks, Mary
