Try the Texas thread, there are tons of Dr.'s in Texas doing the band, as well as across the border in Mexico. Go down to the USA local area on the home page, and then click to find the Texas support---there should be someone there to help you!!

Dana, I was just banded 2/12/07 by dr raja in san antonio. I am doing really well after surgery. If you look up "the wish center" on google you will get the number. It is now called "Bridges" but is still listed under it's old name in the directory.

I don't know anyone in San Antonio...but I wanted to welcome you to LBT. Be sure to read everything and ask lots of questions. Good luck!

I'm also going to Dr. Spivak in Houston. He actually has the most experience in the state and has trained many surgeons in this procedure. I'm sure if you called his office they could possibly refer you to someone in San Antonio.

I too am a Dr. Spivak patient. Just chiming in to say hello and welcome. Awesome folks round these parts. Lots of support. And we really know how you feel. Best of luck on your banding journey!
