I picked broth from my favorite Chinese restaurant from their Won Ton Soup and it was a great change up for me. Some people on here also have broth from Pho which is another Asian soup, but we don't have any places around here with it.

It gets better. I am 17-days post op and it gets better.

How about Japanese soup broth?

Had my surgery been a lil sore....im getting so tired of clear fluids

Hey you and I had surgery on the same day, I'm tired of clear liquids too.

me too I had surgery the same day as u! congrats! I haven't been drinking broth because it's nasty and too salty, my blood pressure was high after surgery so all I've been drinking is water crystal light and jello even crystal, light is getting too sweet so now just water. Tomorrow I can have protein shake and pureed foods I can't wait!

Congrats to you. This liquid phase is bothersome. I am going to tell my doctor there is no way on the planet I will be able to purée meats when the time comes next week. I'm a texture person and meat should not be put in a blender. I can't eat cooked fruit, oatmeal anything close to oatmeal a form or slimy texture. I have a lot of foods I can't and won't eat. You would think I would be naturally thin.

you know believe it or not I've been enjoying my pureed canned chicken and tuna I pureed it with 2Tbsp of low fat mayo and added some pepper not to bad I also are some unsweetened applesauce not to bad. I'm glad to not have to eat broth any more yes!

Just remember that even if the food sounds terrible, it is a very short period of time and will be over before you know it. PLEASE don't cheat. I've seen people hurt themselves by moving on too quickly.

Had my surgery 9/30 too & this not eating is the hardest thing EVER!! The only junk I want is Pizza! I want a good salad, a sandwich or some grilled chicken!! Of course it's too early for any of that but I'm ready for something REAL! 9 days out- 10lbs down! :) Congrats to all of you!

I had surgery in 09/16th, so 3-weeks and 2-days ago and I had a lap-band removal and revision to RNY. My doctor has me progressing with food such as crumbled hamburger meat with cheese.

Hopefully, you can have that soon. I am drinking plenty of fluids everyday and taking the Vitamins as directed. It gets better.

YUMM! That sounds good!! I think the hardest part is knowing I CANT have what I want! And of course all the food commercials don't help! lol Thanks for the boost! :)
