It is different for everyone, so check with your surgeon. For me, mashed potatoes were allowed at 2 weeks post op. I was on full liquids for the first 2 weeks.

It was one of the first foods I ate. Be careful though because it was all I ate for a while and all those carbs can't be too good for us.

Every doctor is different, for my first weeks it was liquids and Jello's when I was cleared for soft/mushy I ate mash and it sat well in my pouch.... Congrats on your new life! :)

My doctor says no. No white anything - potatoes, rice, pasta, or bread. I can have mashed sweet potatoes. :-)
