You need protein to heal. Do what your surgeon says, they've done this before and know what your body needs.

Hi and thanks nev12 where can I find this products? :)

Walmart carries Pure Protein. It is $19.88 for a 2 pound container.

I usually buy the 12fl.oz pre made Pure Protein shakes. I get them at Walmart or Military Commissary. The Unjury I got online.

Ok thanks you all :) I started on Ensure 25 grms of protein and 5 grms of sugars there good but too expensive :(

Yhe GNC lean shakes are really good and comparable in taste to Pure Protein but cheaper and have 25 gms of protein

Ok so tried the unflavored protein powder that came in my sample pack from unjury. There is nothing unflavored about it. In my opinion it is nasty. I tried mixing it in a few different things but you could still taste it. I'm not sure I even want to try the chicken one.

There are other types if unflavored protein from different companies. Protein powders are not all equal. You have to try things out so I would buy small amounts at first. Isopure, Unjury, Nectar are the first that come to mind. Check them out online.

First thing, I wouldn't think of them as milkshakes. lol. You'll feel extremely let down. Its a meal replacement. There are some brands that are easier to get down than others. A good starter one is Body Fortress Chocolate Peanut butter. It is at walmart. Whatever you get, make sure the first source of protein is "whey protein isolate" Our bodies do not digest "whey protein concentrate" correctly so it doesn't really help. Another protein we can digest is "calcium caseinate". There are a few others, like soy, but those are the two most common. Just incase you didn't know. :)
