Burping

I'm nearly 2 months post op and recently I've noticed that whether I drink or eat, I find myself having to belch? What could be causing this?

I am on day 5 after surgery and I am doing it too so I would really like to know if this is something normal or odd.

For me, right after surgery when I was eating (well liquids and puréed and then eventually solids) I noticed the burps as kind of a signal that my pouch was satisfied so I stopped eating. It's hard to stop though especially when you don't feel that OH MY GOSH IM SO FULL feeling you're use to before surgery! Lol. When I'm drinking I do burp sometimes but then I just try to take smaller sips.

I started burping right after surgery and that was a way of getting rid of the gas, that is what they told me. Once I had a BM it stopped, but I notice if I drink too fast, I'll burp because I've taken in too much air.
