Swallowing too much air?

I am 2 days post op and I have been burping like crazy. The doc said it's because I swallow too much air when I drink. I don't think I am, but not for sure...is there a trick to getting a drink and not air?

I burped like crazy right after surgery! It's because they fill you with gas during surgery to make it easier to move the instruments around. It just take some time to get all the gas out!

That's what I was thinking too. I know all the air has moved into my back-not very fun
