Question about meds post op.

So I know post op you have to crush pills. What happens when you are sick and need to take a huge pill and it says "do not cross/dissolve/etc" on the box? Are there meds for congestion that are WLS safe? I am on one now (boo being sick) so it made me think of what would've happened post op.

I actually talked to my dr about this at my f/u cuz i am struggling to take some of my Meds. He suggested cutting all the pills in half and trying that way. I'm still on metformin for my pcos and cutting it in half helps a lot!
