Packing

Okay I have surgery in 10 days and I have waited to pack until now and I'm at a loss what do I take anyone have any suggestions The doctors told me I should only be in the hospital overnight so I know I won't need much but I haven't been away from my house with the one night in forever I'm already totally stressed with the fact of not being able to eat food being away from my children and every other question running through my mind which I'm sure you all have to So I'm open to hearing what everyone else is taking with them or took with them when they had theirs

My surgery is in 4 days I will be in hospital 2 days and I started packing alil...so far I have slippers.. chapstick..gas x strips.. backscratcher shampoo.. conditioner..body spray wipes..my contacts (I hate wearing my glasses)

I'm also bringing my cell and charger to call my kids

I was in for 2 nights. All I brought was slippers, chapstick, pony tail holder, toothpaste/toothbrush, cell phone and charger, deodorant, CPAP machine, and I wore the same clothes home that I went to the hospital in. I wasn't in the mood at all to shower while there (in pain and exhausted), although I showered the millisecond I got home!! Good luck!

I wore the same clothes home as well. You may want to get sports bra or sort of elastic sleeveless top to hold your boobs... One of the incisions is always close to the bra line, some have it closer than other, but when I put my bra on, it was really painful. I also took my cotton bathrobe to go for a walk without showing your butt to the staff, phone and charger, my own toothbrush/toothpaste and face cleanser. That's it, you don't really need much...

I bought pajama shorts and plain shirt. I wore it in the hospital. So I came home in that.

Thanks for suggesting a sports bra. I went to Penningtons and bought 2 today. My surgery is Monday morning.

So close!!! Let us know how it went :) Hang on in there!!'

Hi. It went well. I went in Mon morning & I'm hopefully discharged within a couple hours. Third day was the hardest. My IV bent & my hand swelled up. They tried 6 other places before putting it in the crook of my arm. Lots of bruises.
