feeling not so great...

My surgery was Tuesday August 6th...I really hope I shouldn't be feeling great right now because I most certainly an not!! I am still sore...my back, neck, shoulders and arms hurt I assume due to the gas...I am tired because the pain meds they precribed to me allow me to sleep for about two hours at a time so I feel exhausted...my stomach feels sooo bloated...I feel like I'm whining but some ppl on here seem like all is great already...I'm not sure when exactly they expect me to be getting all my protein in...I can barely get half a shake down right now...ugh...opinions please???

Thanks lori...I'm not glad you feel horrible but I am glad I'm not alone...I do feel like there is alot of gas pressure still...I'm thinking damn...how much could there possibly be...

My surgery was Wednesday and I feel super sore too. I agree trying to get protein in in very hard.

Get the chew-able gas ex tablets, and walk as much as you can.

None of you are alone. I had my surgery on the 6th too. It has been so painful and miserable. It's not even the pain, it's the insult to injury. My personal favorite is the need to walk combing with the gross output and then the limited range of motion. I've done a lot of thinking and regretting but as I look at the victories posted in the forum, I get my hope back and as each day is less painful and less nauseous, I get more positive about it.

As to the original question, they really don't while you're on clear liquids. Just take all your vitamins and drink as much protein as you can
