antibiotics before surgery?

Hey everyone...

I have a broken molar actually all 4 are bad my jaw isnt big enough for them so they came in wrong...but dentists here WONT work on me because my weight and my sleep apnea (i guess there scared to put me asleep)...i saw a dentist in june and she said it wasnt inf but its still hurting...

Will my surgeon ok antibiotics as precautionary prior to surgery? My surgery is in 13 days

My Doctor once said that it would be ok to take antibiotics (for UTI) but to stop 3-4 days before the surgery. All doctors are different, so better ask their office. Oh, and you may not be able to take some of them if you are on liquid diet.... Some antibiotics need to be taken with food, after meal, etc...

Thanks..i went and asked my surgeon...she said it didnt look infected but if it worsens prior then i might need them...my bloodwork showed good #s so she highly doubts its infected :)
