Long shot. (Dr./insurance?'s)

I'll make this as short as possible. I have two jobs. one part time one full time. I'm approve for surgery with a date of august 7th through kaiser whom i have through my part time job. the problem is that almost immediately following surgery (within a month) I will be quitting my part time job. My full time job does not offer kaiser. They only offer anthem blue shield. I'm not going to pit surgery on hold longer and try to get approved through anthem blue shield. I'm just not. So my problem is that I have had kaiser my entire life. I don't know how to work blue shield. At all. So I figure my first step is to find a pcp under my new plan. And I've been looking on the web site, but I don't know how to chose (any input would be appreciated). I assume that after I find a pcp he/she may be able to refer me to a wls surgeon for my follow up appointments if any are necessary. Does this sound right? I found one general practitioner with a specialty in diabetes and metabolism. Which seams like he might have some knowledge or experience with wls patients. So I'll be calling his office. Pretty much I need any advise any one would like to give me regarding this situation.

The long shot. Does any one have suggestions for a doctor in the anthem blue shield network in the San Francisco Bay Area?
