Calorie absorption

So after RNY, what % of the calories you eat are actually absorbed? Does this malabsorption stop 1-2 years out once your body gets used to your new plumbing??

Good question...I wonder that myself?

I would ask you surgeon..... please post when you find out, I'm curious what the answer is :)

The exact number is unknown.

It is thought that at the 18-24 mark that this where the villi of the intestine compensate and start absorbing more calories etc again.

There's so definite answers in these though.
