Fever 11 Days Out

Friday night I had to be readmitted to the hospital due to a fever. At home, it registered 102.4, but it was only 101.6 at the ER. They ran some tests and kept me two nights. They aren't really sure what caused the infection or even where it is, but the IV antibiotics brought the fever and my white blood cell count down. I am on Keflex for another 5 days. Hoping this takes care of things.

By the way, the doctor said the Keflex capsules would be fine to swallow, but my pre-op classes said pills should be smaller than a dime. The capsules are longer than a dime by a far amount. Took my first dose in apple sauce to be safe. Anyone know whether I need to continue that?

Feel better soon

Bummer. Hope you feel better. Good tip, i am putting applesauce on my postop list.

You could ask your pharmacist to give you liquid meds postop, or take 2 smaller pills instead of one big one. Explain your postop needs to your pharmacist.
