It's amazing how much different hospitals and doctors charge.

highest weight: 380
date of surgery weight: 376
current weight 353

wow I paid $80 out of the almost $15,000

Luckily I paid $0 because I already met my deductible.

They're having "food night" tonight at work. I ate a few crackers with cheese and pepperoni and some ham but no bread.

But there's a cake. And a giant chocolate chip cookie. And banana pudding. And they're making me sad.

This is the first time I've wanted to cheat. Ugh.

Ughhh ... We had goodies at work the other night- i still dont know how to resist, but i am preop- what happens when i am postop...

When you are post op those goodies will make you very very sick. Also your appetite is going to be radically altered and you might not even be tempted! You'll be fine!

Yep agree 100% with zuzupetals! post-op is a brave new world were sugar is evil and protien & vitamins rule supreme. you'll be fine :-)

If I need something sweet I go for no sugar added fudgesicles and sugar free hot chocolate. I was a chocoholic n efore surgery a d now I really could care less if I eat at all sometimes.

I just recieved a bill from the hospital. My surgery cost 49 thousand dollars. Thank God for insurance. Such a blessing and a great investment towards my health!

I got a bill today as well and so far my portion is $200, I'm not sure what the bill was, I'm curious.

I sure am trying but I really only like cold water and with this heat it gets warm so quick. I had a frozen bottle of water this afternoon and took it shopping. By the time I got to my first destination' date=' maybe 20 miles away, it was warm. Had to go to the store and buy another one.[/quote']

I went to walmart and bought like a big water jug.

I freeze water bottle the night before i know i have to run errands and put them in a lunch box with protein bars or cheese.

I think in getting better with my willpower. I have an enormous sweet tooth I literally could have lived off of birthday cake before surgery. But today I was walking around the store and saw the Voortmans sugar free cookies. A whole rack of them. They were calling to me. I checked out the nutritional info and picked up the oatmeal cookies. I took two steps away from the rack and turned around and put them right back. I knew if I got them it would only lead to bad things. Same thing happen when I found hummus chips. They aren't as bad as the cookies and they actually have some protein but I CANNOT have them. I am an addict but my willpower is stronger.

Had a complication with the blood thinners after surgery had to stay in hospital for 10 daYs... Bill was 168k and thanks to health insurance i only owe 1000!

Sorry to here that, but what kind of complication you had with blood thinners? You're right thank God for health insurance.

You Rock!!!! thanks for the post, its tough beating down old habits.

I carry a club to beat down my urges to cheat.... my "old" habits are big nasty hungry creatures.
