Thanks for the hugs Rhyzell, yes we CAN all do this! And I'm gonna!

Well today was my 3 month follow-up. I'm not doing as well as many/most of you. I am down 46lbs by their scale (48.4 by mine but who's counting?) so I missed the 50 - 60 lb goal so I'm bummed and beating myself up today. I can give a slew of excuses and I know I need to get to exercising more' date=' and drink more fluids.

Dr was not discouraged tried to tell me I've lost 42% of my anticipated loss but I'm still wallowing in self-pity. I feel good, my blood pressure is down, I've thrown out my first pair of fat pants so it's stupid I am crying about 4 lbs but I'm so upset about it. New goal is 30 -40 lbs in the next 90 days.

Thanks for the long whiny post.[/quote']

Instead of making your weight loss your goal why nit make healthy eating, exercise, and food intake a goal. I know if you meet these the goals every single day your weight will reflect it. You will get there....don't give up!

I'm sitting here relaxing. Nice and cozy on a rainy evening. But gosh darn it...I have this overwhelming desire to eat...I'm not hungry. I had a nice dinner full of proteins and flavor but I swear I need me done nuts chips and salsa. Ughhhhhh does this happen to anyone else?

Thanks for the encouragement Julee, I know it's a daily journey. I'll hang in there. At this point I've come to far to fail.

Thanks RJ!! Hubby and I have a romantic weekend planned for the end of the month. Hopefully I will celebrate my first 100 pounds lost and our 19 year wedding anniversary. You all will be the first to know when I make the 100!

I also want to say that it is friends like you that I have met on RNY Talk that have made this journey much easier! THANKS!!

very excited for your and congratulations on 19 years. and that is very sweet of you to say so. i have been helped on this site and i pass it along . but again...thank you :-)

I honestly still can't see any difference. In down nearly 80lbs now since surgery. The dark hair is before surgery and the blond hair was yesterday.

What do y'all think? Please be honest...saying I look the same WON'T hurt my feelings.

Thanks Julee, I'm moving forward! Maybe yesterday was one of those hormone low days related to the estrogen fat release. Today is the next new step!

See why I whined! Very encouraging Baconville! I needed that! I was thinking I guess I should be celebrating that my weight now begins with a ONE. Where we've been' date=' I never thought 4 pounds would have affected me that way! I so wish I had have taken measurements, sure know that all of my pants are sure longer now! Thanks again for reminding me! D[/quote']

One of my belts has a few new holes in it as I refuse to buy a bew belt till I hit 199. Its my measuring stick. ;)

Hair loss started big time today. Coming out in chunks. :(

How is your daily protien intake? taking Biotin?

65-70 grams of protein a day but not taking a separate biotin. Maybe I should add that. I was hoping I'd skip the hairloss phase.

my team has said the more protien the better. I average 80 to 100 g per day. from my understanding that hair is basically protien the more you feed it the less the hair loss....makes sense.

the biotin. came from a fellow RNY patient who had the surgery 8 months before me and she had had minimal hair issues. so it comes from actual experience. and Cathy has a powerful head of red hair :-) hope this helps.
