my surgery

Hi, had gastric bypass on 05-10-2013. Was not fun the first 2 wks. Had trouble getting in protein shakes and water.. Water is still an issue. Little tedious always sipping. Have had no major problems advancing with foods, Never dumped, and I eat fruit. Like 3 or 4 strawberries or half a banana, I have had pineapple and pieces of apples. Mostly when I am not trying to get protein in like yogurt or cottage cheese, I eat little bowls of steamed spinach, almost every day with spinach or kale and even broccoli. Everything feels fine inside. I have been having an issue with my shoulder blade, but that is years old. Been sitting with ice pack back there. Think it is a little bursitis. When I say everything is fine inside, I have been lifting weights and doing cardio for 3 wks. My doc said I could do anything after 4 wks. I had been just walking til then. When he said that I took off like a shot. My stomach is good, no issues there, other than I can't guzzle water like I used to. So I hope everything stays good and I can continue to do what I do. So I can lose what I need to. I am also 49, so I know I have to work harder to get what I want. Thanks for reading.

I put up a topic of Unjury protein powder.

I got my Unjury yesterday and i just made the vanilla one. I love it!!! its really smooth and doesn't have a strong taste that will gag you. I am going to stick with this now.

Dee I posted to the topic of Unjury Protein Powder. I haven't used anything different. Just bought some from nectar but haven't tried them. Only because I wanted to check on different flavors. Really think this is the best protein out there, if it weren't I would be hanging my head over the bathroom stool. Not joking on that either. Stomach or the taste buds have their own idea of what they like. Think you will really enjoy the other flavors. And the chicken flavor is very good. I lived on that when I always got a fill with my band as you stay on liquids for 24 hrs then start graduating up. Also Unjury has recipes.

This is reassuring! From other posts I'm expecting a life of nausea' date=' vomiting, misery, complications, and overall torment. My surgery is June 3rd.[/quote']

Lmbo life time. I'm 1 year today vomiting happens but it's rare. I would have to force my self to take one more bite knowing I'm full or eat something oops didn't know it had to much fat or was fried.

Nausea is together with vomiting.

Misery- I'm very happen with this

Complication: haven't had any

Torment- don't have that lmbo

I'm a newbie but I've had almost no complications.A little nausea....surgery was a cake walk. Don't worry.
