Too much weight loss too soon?

Ok, I am 6 days post op and pretty much just drinking Water because nothing stays down and sometimes water doesn't even want to stay down. So I've been just drinking my little one once cups of water and some days are better then others. I weighed 258 day of surgery. I am now 6days post op and 242! I don't know if I should be excited cause I'm losing weight or scared cause its a lot so soon? Anyone else experiencing the same thing or similar?

Awesome so I shouldn't worry about it thanks so much!

No don't worry about it!! Usually everyone when they are 3-4 weeks post op actually stall for about 2 weeks

I lost 15 lbs the first week. Then only two pounds a week if I lose at all. I gained two pounds last week but my clothes are getting loser. We're all different. Be happy you are losing. In here tearing my hair out trying to figure out why I haven't lost any in three weeks.

First of all congrats on the weight loss!!!

I lost 42 pounds in less then 2 weeks post op. then stalled for about 4-5 weeks. Just some advice, make sure you are drinking cause I got dehydrated so fast when I was losing that much that fast. It's not fun at all. I've slowed down to losing around 10-25 per month now. Just make sure you sip sip sip!!!

Thanks so Much, I can already feel the dehydration because I'm dizzy and weak and I know it's because I'm not getting enough Water. I am trying girl! :) how far along in the journey are you?

Try drinking smart Water. That's what I drink when I know I'm dehydrated. It helps me a lot. I was so bad at the beginning I would only be able to stand up for 2-4 minutes before almost passing out. Don't want anyone else to feel like that. It sucks and about landed me back in the hospital.

I will be 5 months out on the 26th.

It's not fun. Just take your time getting up. The reason why I say the smart Water is cause of the electrolytes. Be careful and hope you feel better soon!! :)
