I miss kielbasa, spaghetti and meatballs (or meat sauce), salad, Pasta salad (I'm a carb addict), solid chicken, steak, French fries, fish and chips, Chinese food....

I know I'll never have some of these again, but if anyone has ideas on what is OK to get for Chinese, or other ideas, I'd gladly welcome them!

Lets add fried chicken and bleu cheese to your list. And bacon. And salami. And tostito restaurant chips.

Ughhh, I want it bad. But I'm ok without it! I'm excited to live without it. :)

Chinese... I feel like beef or chicken with broccoli would be good. Or some type of stir fry? I'd ask them to go light on soy since that's a ton of salt. :)

THANK YOU for saying that! Beef/chicken and broccoli is my favorite! I was thinking it might be ok but not sure. And I feel ya on the bacon! I've had a couple small bites of it but not much, greasy things make The Man In The Pouch kinda angry. As for fast food, the only thing I really miss is KFC's chicken bowl and biscuits. Ohhh, biscuits....

I feel like there may be too much fat. But, also can't really eat a whole cup either. Looks like you're in the clear to me!

How far out are you? I'm still stage 3 mush so nothing crunchy here. I have cheated and had a couple bites of tuna the other day and it sat good with me. And i tried really thin turkey breast. But thats not supposed to start until Monday.

I just had Chinese the other night. Obviously no rice, but I had shrimp & lobster sauce (it also has chunks of steak in it). I looked up the stats on it first and it was low carb, high Protein, and delicious.

Believe it or not, I'm not missing a whole lot of food. Stuff just doesn't sound good to me anymore. BUT I think I could trade one of my arms for a good pop.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
