2-week pre-op diet....ugh!

So, I am supposed to start my pre-op diet today, but I can't stop eating! I am totally psyching myself out right now. Anyone else have trouble starting their diet? I feel like a smoker that is quitting cold-turkey. I never realized how strong my mental addiction to food is. Oye!

  • I'm on my last day of my first 2 week liquid diet. I go to the dietician tomorrow. I can say I have cheated some, but nothing huge.

I had a constant headache while on the two week preop diet and the first 4 days after surgery. It gets better. It's your body going through food withdrawal.

I hate having headaches, they make me cranky, I actually snapped at my dad this morning, I feel really bad about it.

I am six days in and passed out yesterday and have been very light headed and dizzy anyone else experience this

Luckily my plain was 2 shakes one for breakfast and lunch and a high protein LOW carb dinner. But it was still hard. I stayed home a lot. Had to constantly change the channel cus of damn food commercials. I took a lot of walks with my iPod. I did have a few days I fell off the wagon... But I got back on ASAP and remembered why I was doing this. I also was a lil scared I my doctor lol he had told me he could tell who followed the plan and who didn't and if he didn't think I was ready even on the day of surgery he wouldn't go through with it o_O good luck and STAY STRONG :-D

Today I'm feeling light headed enough so that I won't drive. My stomach keeps growling which doesn't help. I only have 2 days to surgery and have decided to stay home and relax.
