Constant pain and nausea

I'm 3 weeks post op. I was doing well then all of a sudden I can't eat or drink. I'm on purée foods. I try to eat and get a terrible pain on the middle top part of my abdomen where I believe the pouch is. It happens when I drink too. I'm not even close to getting the fluids and Protein in. I try so hard but nothing. My stomach just makes noises all the time.

What do you think the problem is and what should I do?

I lost my job so therefore I don't have insurance any more.

Are you taking anything for gas and acid? I take 2 zantac a day and if I start feeling gross I take some Gas-x. Have you tried anything like that? Have you had a bowel movement? I had my first one today and I feel so much better. That was my first since like 5 days before surgery and I'm 10 days out now! Yeah. Miralax and a stool softener might help also. Don't be afraid to medicine up.

And my standard answer: Have you contacted your surgeon or nut? My surgeon and nut answer questions for no cost.

I going to call surgeon tomorrow. I'm suppose to be taking Prilosec twice a day emptying it in pudding or something but I can't stand the taste or texture it makes me gag so I haven't taken it. I guess I will try that again and just suffer thru it. I have gas x but don't really feel like I need it.

You need to contact your surgeon ASAP.

Contact your surgeon. It sounds like it could be a stricture. You would be a little early for one, but that doesn't mean it can't happen!

What exactly is a stricture and how do you fix it?
