I often say I feel like a girl now....hate that I spent so many years not feeling that way!

Yay for you! We wasted years didnt we?? At my appointment earlier today the nurse said "oh my gosh you look so young. Definitely not old enough to be Nick's mom." He is 22! I LOVE that people think this cuz I was so worried that post op, my wrinkles would really show and id look older. Glad thats not true!

I received the shoes I ordered last week in a one wide verses a double wide - stylish I have to say - yes my older shoes are too wide! :D

Completed day one of couch to 5k workout. I was able to run and complete the whole thing. This would have never happened before surgery. I would have given up after the first bit of running!

One of my colleagues complimented my progress and said I looked like a teenager! Considering I teach in a high school, that was high praise!

I shopped at a store in the mall called Vanity. I haven't been able to shop at a regular store in years and not only that but I wasn't in the largest size in that store. I'm fitting into "regular" clothes. I came home and weighed myself for the first time in like a month and I am down 20 lbs since the last weigh in and a grand total of 100 lbs today!!! Can't believe it! I'm so excited.

Does anyone else find themselves gravitating to the plus sizes by force of habit? I do it a lot. Then I catch myself and head to petites! Still can't get over me in petites! :-)

It's so hard for our minds to catch up to our bodies it seems. Today, for the first time, I'm wearing a size 6 pant and an x-small top. Who knew this was ever possible? Not me! (That little voice in my head just said, "yeah but the pants are kind if stretchy and the sweater must run large"). Whatever.

That little voice needs a muzzle. :-)

I've been doing Zumba and Yoga classes at work. And I've dropped 10 sizes so far!

I went shopping for clothes this weekend. I came home with a bunch of great stuff, but complained to my fiancé that I couldn't find anything in the size I needed. He then asked me "were you looking in the plus size section or regular section?"... It occurred to me... I was ONLY looking in the plus size section when I'm down in NORMAL sizes again! Holy cow! I haven't gone to the regular womens section since 8th grade! I didn't even think to look there!!

This is so me. Always thinking the sizes run large. It is so hard to see me as who I am...

I went on a date with an adorable and charming man who told me I'm beautiful' date=' not cute, not nice smile, not great personality, BEAUTIFUL....other than my son, I believe that's the first time I've ever heard that. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198[/quote']

I don't even know what to say about that. I'm practically shedding tears over how amazing that is!!

I actually like clothes shopping now and feel like I look like a girl.

OMG. I'm starting to spend serious money on clothes... It's so fun to shop! I had no idea how good it would feel to look in the mirror and think "dang that looks good!" with EVERYTHING I try on!
