Is there anyone who have try to have a baby before having the gastric bypass and was not able then after the bypass and had a baby very easy! Please let me know me and my husband have try for 6 year with no luck and I relly would like to have a baby and I would like to know if it may happen and has this happen to someone else!!! Thank you!!!

I have seen several ladies on here that have gotten pregnant after surgery. I think there was one that was pregnant with twins...at about 8 months post op.

Yup. I'm 7 weeks post op and 6 weeks pregnant. I was taking the pill but obviously it didnt work and my surgeon never told me that I'd become super fertile do quickly after surgery. Honestly after trying for almost 13 years, I didn't think I could have anymore kids (I hv a 14 yr old) but if I knew this could happen, I would've been more cautious and waited because it's kinda hard so early after the surgery.

My surgeon told me that women who have issues with infertility often get pregnant very easily after surgery. I am a labor and delivery nurse and have had patients that have had this happen to them as well.

Thank you all I am hope that I may happen to me!! I am so ready to have my gastric bypass but I am still waiting for everything to go thought and also I am having to pay for some of the bypass!!
