I'm 6 weeks post op and now allowed to try new foods. If I try something that doesn't bother me at the time, can it cause nausea the next day? I thought if it doesn't make you sick right away you should be able to tolerate. Im nauseated today after eating chicken Caesar salad yesterday for lunch.

Any ideas?

For me, I usually get nauseated either while eating or shortly after. I would think that the next day it is not from something you ate the night before. Do you have zofran? I would ask for a prescription of sublingual for days or times your are nauseated. I have read that some people get nauseous if they are hungry and or thirsty.

Thanks nienie, I don't have zofran but will ask the doc for some. I haven't been nauseated much at all during this whole process.

I can be a variety of things. I was nauseated this morning for no real reason and I am 4 months out today. (Just realized that lol) I have rarely been sick. Thank Goodness! The Zofran does help and so does papaya enzyme if food is stuck.

I get nauseous when I haven't had enough to drink.
