When do you know you are hungry?

How do you distinguish between true hunger and head hunger? Bin between meals, I find myself wanting a snack. I have an Atkins protein bar. But now I am wondering whether I am truly hungry or if it is head hunger. How do you know the difference? I thought it would be easy to tell the difference, but I no longer think it is.

    At 9 months I actually started hearing my stomach making hungry noise. It didn't before. I keep it strict. One breakfast one lunch one dinner if I'm hungry I hear noise I would have a snack. That's all
