My WBC came back high too & I've yet to be treated. My Hematologist is on maternity leave and will be back part time on Monday. This has really dampen my spirits for any hope of having surgery.

cant tell you about WBC but for the Vit D I was low and they put me on 5000 mgs, you can get it at walmart about 6 bucks.

Think an elevated WBC means there is an infection somewhere. I heard it is very common for Vitamin D to be deficient in the obese. I was also low, and have been taking supplements since September.

Did you find out about the elevated WBC during pre-surgical testing? My WBC has been high for 6 months now. I'm also iron deficient due to fecal occult blood loss. I am terrified this will hold up my surgerg. My PCP said no to worry and he will clear me for surgery, but it's still in the back of my mind all the time.

The doc put me on 50,000 units of vit D , twice a week

My elevated WBC levels are due to my Lupus, it can be caused by a number if things, mine is from the Lupus and Inflammation.
