Stomach Pains

Hey family,

I have another question for you guys. I had surgery a little over a month ago and I notices about 2 weeks ago that I am getting really bad stomach pains and they seem to go away after I eat. The pain is just like crampy menstral pains not sharp pains. I feel like I just want to curl up and not move. I am assuming that it's my stomach saying hey you haven't fed me in like 2 or 3 hours and when you ate before it was 1/2 an egg so I am starving. That is what the nurse said as well but I was wondering if anyone else gets this. It's very frustrating because it does hurt really bad and makes me really irritable and I have to find something to eat ASAP to make the pain go away because it hurts so bad. Soooo am I weird or does anyone else get this. I was hoping that I would continue to not get hunger feelings but that only lasted about 2 weeks in the beginning.

I had that about a month out or so as well. Another question is...are you going to the bathroom regularly? I have had those feelings myself as well but more so when I was about a month out like you. I don't get them anymore or should say I haven't in quite some time. Once my diet because more "normal" texture wise it helped a lot.

Good to know I am not alone. No I am not going regularly and I have had some problems with going to the bathroom. I usually go every 3 or 4 days and I have to take stool sofners. I stopped taking them and when I finally had to go to the bathroom it was the worst episode yet. I was in the bathroom for over an hour and the pain was horrible and I had to handle business (gross). It's been about 3 days since that and I have been taking my stool softner again and I hae gone 2 times now and it has been a lot better. I have been getting my Protein from food not shakes because I can't stand them anymore and Ithought that would help but I am still on the soft food stage so maybe after this week when I can go on all foods and I can start having salads and stuff I will go more regularly. So you think the pain is just from not going to the bathroom and getting stopped up? How come it feels better when I eat? Did yours feel better when you ate? Thanks again :)
