Post Surgical Pain

dear Lord I am dying here. I am 10 days out and the main incision is so painful. It hurts the same amount today as it did on the day of surgery. I cant walk with out holding it. I want to cry it hurts so bad. I had my drain out two days ago and thought that would help but the pain in unbearable. I take tylenol and it is not doing an thing.... how long did you all experience pain? Is it normal that it is lasting this long?

i would call ur doctor at 10 days out i had no pain at all never had a drain hope u feel better soon it does get better

I agree with Junior....call your doctor. If he/she isn't helpful, go to the emergency room.

That does seem unusual. I agree with the others. Just go to the ER. I have to wonder how your incision looks. Is it red, warm to the touch, oozing anything? Those are signs of infection. At ten days it should be healing. Was your procedure open or laporascopic? Either way....get it checked out.

Hope you called your doc or went to the emergency room. Praying for you. Keep us posted.

It's not normal for the pain to get worse ... Or the medication not working to help with the pain. I would contact doc or go to hospital.

My main incision was still painful at a week and had a lump that was growing. I checked with my doctor and they said to let them know if it became red, and of course the next day it was. Had to have it reopened.
