Yogurt

Is yogurt okay post surgery? I have been mixing yogurt and protein powder, water and ice during my 2-week liquid diet and it's yummy! Low Fat Raspberry yogurt and chocolate protein powder is delicious!

I am sure you will be able to have it post op, but how soon after will depend on your Doc, I have been having some great treats mixing yogurt with different flavors of sugar free pudding and unflavored protein (I am pre op) and I really like it and hoping my taste buds don't change to much after surgery. I think mixing the protein powder in the yogurt could make it easier for those that have a hard time getting shakes down.

I was on clear liquids for 4 days post op. I had my surgery on a Tuesday and by Saturday I could start the full liquid diet which included yogurt.
