Creamy soups; post op

Am I supposed to blend down any 'chunks' that might be in the creamy soups; mushroom, chicken, potato, shrimp? Not sure.:)

if you are still on the fluid stage the guide is usually fluids that can be taken through a straw ( but don't use a straw as they say you swallow too much ar) hope that helps- it would pay to check with your own surgeon/nutrionist to be sure though

Yes put them in a blender. If you are on "thicker" liquids you shouldn't have chunks of food. I sometimes added a little water to thin it out some. The thicker soups do fill you up more so you probably won't eat as much of it. Once on mushies you really will start to feel full.

I have a question. I am being banded Feb 16 and I understand my liquid diet and also the smooth foods after that. But I would like to know from some of you that are losing weight what is a typical day of eating (menu) like for you? Thanks

Conroe.

I'm suppose I could add milk too, for some added Protein and to thin it out.

I did put the cream of potatoe in my 'Ultimate Chopper' and it came out too fluffy. I heated it anyway, but it was way too thick. I wanted more of a soupy consistency.
