Headed down Mexico way

I did it -- surgery scheduled with Dr. Rumbaut in Monterrey on (gulp) August 26. Thanks to everyone on this board for offering information and support to us newbies. I'm excited about this big change I'm about to make.

Hey Zoe, I am going sept. 7th with Dr. Rumbaut. I am so excited to hear from you and how was it. I am getting really nervous. Was it all everyone on here says it is?

please please let me know!!:)

Zoe, I had my band done in Mexico. I've been through hell and back. I had a second surgery to have my port removed. I'll need a 3rd surgery to replace my port. It's costing me a fortune, and it's been a nightmare. But guess what? I'd do it all over again in a heart beat without giving it a second thought. I'd get another band in a New York minute!

I've only heard great things about Dr. Rumbaut as well as the facility.

The surgery in Las Vegas is about $12,000.00 more than in Mexico. If it was only $3,000.00 more, I'd have done it locally because of aftercare issues.
