Hi my name is Candice and I'm in the beginning stages of having weight loss surgery. I have my consult scheduled for this Thursday. I'm excited. I have been overweight for a number of years and I'm ready to be physically able to enjoy life with my family. Does anyone have any advice?

Just realize that it is a life changing surgery and needs a lot of devotion on your end to be successful. The second you believe it's an effortless "quick fix" you will be bound to fail. Learn as much as possible about your surgery.

Do lots of research. Read everything that you can so you will be educated on how to take care of your new body. Knowledge is power!!
