Drain

An anyone tell me when the volume of fluid in their drain started to slow down? My surgery was Tuesday, and the color seems the same as in the hospital but the volume is 20% greater than two days ago. Is this normal. My drain comes out Wednesday.

I had a drain but they took it out the day after surgery. The kicker is they left the drain site open (2in wide 3in deep) I have to pack it with gauze every day. It sucks but they say it needs to heal from the inside out so it doesn't get infected

Mine was in my lower right abdomen. I had my dad pull it out (he can handle gross things) and I didn't even feel it. The drain on the other hand was very disturbing when they pull it out at the hospital.

I mean the Q pain thing. I had a drain too and it hurt like hell when they pulled it out on day 5..

I was talking about the OnQ. It was in my lower right abdomen, not my chest.
