Pre-Op Jitters..:/

Good morning! I have my preop this am and I could hardly sleep last night. Surg scheduled for july 11 and I guess I feel time is rolling. Wish me luck today! I think I'm a little worried they will tell me my iron is low. I have been taking my pills but I hope everything will be fine.

I am a smoker and was tested 2 x prior to surgery. They used a breathing machine. They should be telling you when you have to be smike free and when they will test you. Breathing machine -5 days to get out of system, don't know about blood. Look it up online. I smoked after passing my tests up to the day before surgery and wish i had not.

My surgeon will not so surgery unless you are 100% smoke free foe 90 days. He test u when u go in the hospital and if you have nicotine in your system he will send you home the day of surgery. I have been smoke free for 27 days now. I have been an on and off smoker for years. I quite cold turkey. Having mouth fixation problems this time around but it is worth it. I am not passing this up for a smoke.

Oh wow i can't wait to find out when they need me to quite
