Just Wondering

This is probably a question I should ask my doctor but I just wanted some input from others. At what point do you think it would be safe to lift weights? I'm not talking about machines or lifting to tone up, I mean stuff with free weights (squats, deadlifts, bench presses etc.). I used to lift a lot years back and enjoyed every bit of it and anxiously wanting to get back into it. No I don't expect to go all out and kill myself in the gym, gotta work up to that.

Sorry about that. My doctor said be guided by pain - if it hurts don't do it, but it's ok if you feel fine.

I was wondering the same thing. Assuming it's gonna be different per patient. Ask ur doc to be sure.

I just had my 4 week post op appt and Dr. Said I have NO restrictions - "the more vigorous the better, whatever you can handle".

My doctor said I had to wait 8 weeks at least so I was a walking fool, if I couldn't do anything else I was gonna walk.
