New Here To Forum

Hi I am new to forum. I am now nearly 3 weeks out from surgery. Had surgery 12th march. I live in the uk. I have been big all my life and suffered with depression I think the final straw was when I got gall stones just before Xmas at the age of 26 and was told that I would need an operation to remove them but at over 27stone I was to high a risk to have surgery.

I had been thinking of getting a gastric band but when I meet with my surgeon he suggested a bypass would be a better option for me and I have never looked back.

I am grateful to have an extremely supportive family and works. Everyone is excited for me. I have never been a normal size that I can remember so this is kind of scary.

I am already down tj just under 23stone with pre-op diet and diet for gall stones.

Kin of struggling with food at the moment. I have moved from liquid diet to slop food and really struggling with ideas on what to cook.

I think I saw a recipe swap thread on here. So glad to see that your health is getting better after surgery and hope for even better news in the end result.
