1 Week Post Op

Well... I finally got what I have been waiting for. My bypass was a week ago (12/20). Doing well, was able to start my full liquid diet today. I was feeling week just drinking crystal Light, but feeling better with the small amount of light foods I am allowed now. Looking forward to seeing the weight melt off!!!

My gastric was on 01/11/12 so we aren't that far apart date wise just a couple weeks! I too was feeling very weak on the full liquid diet and was extremely happy once I was able to start on the mushy stage! I had a question for you when you 1st started on the mushy foods did you have any kind of pain at all in your stomach like it felt like your stomach was heavy, I every now and then will get a pain in mine and I don't know if it's because it's telling me my stomach is full or if something is wrong so I was wondering if you've experienced the same thing!

Congrats to you guys! What's been the most surprising thing about your post-op life, so far?

  • 2 weeks later...

mine has been how effortlessly the weight comes off and how I'm not craving foods like I used to!

Vam... I had my surgery on Nov. 29,2011... I had the same problem when I started eating mushy foods. My stomach was paining me each time I ate now once I started experiencing that feeling Often, I knew my body was telling me I was full. But remember everybody's body is different.
