My new tummy 5 days post op. help?

I traveled home from TJ today. Surprisingly everything was fine. In the hospital and hotel I was hesitant drink fluids because I wanted to lay down.

Since I was on a 5 hour flight sitting up I had 16 oz of apple juice (still need a BM). Then I had 8 oz Water

Came home and had 1 cup almond sugar free almond milk with sugar free carnation Breakfast. I had this within 30 minutes. Then I was craving chicken broth. I strained Campbell's chicken noodle and drank that. ( about 3/4 cups)

Everything went down fine. No pain. Should I be worried I am

Drinking too much to soon

Hell no! If you can get the fluids in, you do that! At 5 days, I couldn't get much in and had to rely on other ingestion methods. Be very thankful you can get it in - it really is a blessing and won't cause you any harm, as it'll pass straight through you. Keep doing what you're doing, I'd say :)

I was able to get those amounts in once the swelling went down. And for a bit of help with the BM, warm the apple juice. :)

Great. Thanks so much!! I want to be able to drink and eventually eat. I just don't want to spring a leak
