Antibiotics

Just wondering, for those that have had surgery, were you given antibiotics in the hospital, or given some to stave off infection when at home?

They gave me a mega-dose whilst in surgery so, no, I was not given any for home. Didn't have any issues, either.

They pushed big doses of antibiotics in my IV (I think? Or maybe it was during surgery, or both) for the first day after surgery, and that was it.

Mine went in via IV after the surgery. All is well :)

IV antibiotics while I was in the hospital, nothing when I went home. No post-op infection for me :)
