A friend is doing a blood drive and I have no idea if I can even donate beinf sleeved. Has anyone done so?

I know every Dr is different but mine said no blood donation for a year post-op. I'd ask!

How long ago was your surgery? How easy is it for you to drink fluids and moderate your glucose levels? I would ask my surgeon before donating just to be sure!

It never occurred to me that I couldn't, and I donated about 3 months after surgery, no problems.

Im 5 months out and drink more than my 10 cups a day typically. I had a hard time prior to surgery held light headed when I donated blood but if I waited long enough it got a bit better. I have an appointment with my surgeon next month so I will ask him when I see him!
