I recall my doctor saying something that i was not going o have staples on my stomach after surgery.. Is this possible? Or maybe it was the anesthesia lol

I had no external staples. Just some band aids I was told to take off after 5 days

He probably just meant on the outer incisions.

Sometimes they use glue to close the incisions maybe that's what he was talking about?

I guess it depends on the doctor but, my doctor never mentioned we have a Staples and even though I had probably about 20 surgeries, there's only one another surgery that I had staples on… But, this one had staples. I wasn't too happy about it. It's not like I'm going to be wearing a bikini or anything but, it's just scarred I guess…

When I asked about it, they said that Staples help for drainage and watching for infection. Being that I've had a lot of problems with healing

I have rheumatoid arthritis and my immune system is shot, I guess I can't complain about the Staples… Still don't like them though…
