started soft food gained 2 pounds

I was sleeved 8/12/13. This was my first week off liquids and on to some soft foods. I'm a little frustrated because I've gained back 2 pounds. I keep telling myself it's ok because I've nearly doubled my caloric intake, but I'm still under 800 calories a day. Is this weight gain with "real food" a common occurrence?

It could be that your body is hanging on to the food, but you're also in the right time window to hit the dreaded 3 week stall so buckle up, keep doing what ou are doing, and join the hordes of us suffering through the same thing! Sucks doesn't it? Good news is, it's temporary.

No worries, this is a "longer view" process. You have not gained fat. More likely just water. In any case keep with the program and the losses will average DOWN!!!. Be excited with 1 to 2 piunds a week! Then you can be real happy if more.

Yes and as long as you continue doing what your surgeon says it will be temporary.

Wow am glad I came across this thread! I started eating some creamed chicken corn chowder soup (progresso) and creamed broccli soup and regained 2 pounds. So I have increased the exercise intensity (gone from walking from 2.5 to 3.0 and alternating for 30 minutes) I am surprised how much I can actually eat - 1/4 cup at a time. But knowing that this is expected helps me to get over those 2 pounds *lol*. I have lost a total of 13-14 pounds in less than 20 days so I shouldn't be too upset! I will be happy with 1 pound a week! Every little pound helps :) I notice though I am more determined in working out going from 1.5 hour hours of walking a day to 2 hours now. I just break it up into 20 or 30 minute sessions on the treadmill until I can start more intense exercise. I feel great though, high energy - i think green juicing helps there.
